Delightful post! Being vulnerable and owning up to your mistakes, all with a touch of humour and some lovely writing made this post a pleasure to read. Here for more of this!
This is fictional right? You want me to believe that there exists a part in Bangalore which is low on traffic? Hah! Good try. But no.
Apart from my minute and dare I say so myself a smart observation above, I liked the post. You write so well it hurts that you don’t do it more frequently. No no please don’t let this be a pressure of any sort. I mean why would you write when you can, not write, I get it.
No please don’t write, it’s okay. I will go and scroll stratecherry up and down just so someone around me thinks I am too smart. Tum khush raho yaar. Mat likha karo.
I'm amazed by your honesty. The next step would be to reach out to the friend and make sure he reads this post, if you'd like to rebuild fallen bridges. Looking forward to the sequel.
Okay I couldn’t help. Pls don’t make it about yourself if you reach out to your friend and he doesn’t accept your fraaandsip.
He might not have had the long rope of privilege like you did back then. People do not forget their bad days, especially if it comes to barely meeting their rent commitments. You have sent a request to him, now let the request work on ‘dheemi aanch’.
Takes a good man to accept that you have privilege. You are a good man, NJ.
Thanks for sharing this, Nitesh. As they say, in the consumer business, distribution trumps product. And always work backwards from the customer. I'm certain you knew all of these principles and more. It's only when one jumps into entrepreneurship does one realise how blinded we get to certain principles. I've made several such mistakes over the years too, and may possibly make a lot more in the journey ahead. It's having the courage to acknowledge it and move on that matters.
Loved this! I honestly thought while reading it that more men should write like this - tell their stories with honesty and vulnerability. If all men started doing this, the world would be a completely different place. And farther from the brink of extinction, I'm sure.
Lovely post, thanks for your vulnerability. Also thanks for connecting me to that Shark Tank video, it was amazing. Yes failures are great teachers & there is enough to learn from them. Also we have multiple identities & failure helps you see the other parts, if we are looking! Great post!

I sent him a friend request after finishing the post. I hope he accepts!
(Jumping in because why not?)

If he doesn't, then it's now on him, not you. And you tried. Always better to have the buck stop somewhere else.
What's that adage? Don't mix the personal and the professional?
Let me just say I'm so glad you ignored it! More of this please!

Thanks for considering me as a part of Walk Well. It was great magical and memorable experience.
Very well written, I love how it depicts vulnerability, empathy, and compassion. 🙌
I hope your friend talks to you and forgives you for your ignorance. Often time we don’t even realise our privileges.
